REFLECTING THROUGHOUT THE WEEK
Assembly
and Faith-Sharing Groups
Passover,
Jerusalem, and the Temple were central to Israel’s
identity; what has been central--persons, places, or things--
for your religious identity?
In
what ways have you interiorized your religious identity
(“you are the temple of God”; second reading)?
Or, how have you come to know the holiness inside of you
and of others?
How
has Christ become the “foundation” of your
identify (second reading)?
Hospitality Ministers
Consider
how your hospitality is meant to build up “God’s
temple” with the mortar of warmth, kindness, and
self-sacrifice (second reading).
Music Ministers
How
dies your music-making build up the Church? How does it
help the community celebrate their baptismal identity?
In what ways does it deepen your own sense of being God’s
dwelling place?
Altar Ministers
Consider
how serving is a way of dedicating yourself as “God’s
temple.”
Lectors
Consider
how God, “like a wise master builder,” uses
the word to fashion you into his holy temple (second reading).
In what ways, and how willingly, do you surrender to this?
Eucharistic Ministers
Consider
how the Eucharistic names you as “the (holy)
temple of God, which you are” (second reading). How
do you name others into this same identity?

Helping
Those in Need - Once again the generosity of our parishioners
was expressed throughout the past year. A total
of $11,620 was donated for use by the St. Vincent de Paul
Society to furnish emergency help to the less fortunate.
These funds were used to help 133 people with food, rent,
clothing, utilities and used furniture. We are not requesting
food donations. The envelope enclosed in your November packet
can be put in any time in November. This money will benefit
the work of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Thank you and
God bless you.
