REFLECTING THROUGHOUT THE WEEK
Assembly and Faith-Sharing Groups
What
choices do you make daily that indicate you truly believe
that God wishes you to have eternal life? How
do you express
your seeing and believing in Jesus?
How
do your daily choices indicate that you think about “a
time of unsurpassed distress” (see first reading)?
How do your good choices keep this time of judgment from
being unduly fearful?
When
are you most aware that you are “baptized into
Christ Jesus” (see second reading)? What does it
mean to be “crucified with him”? To “live
with him”?
Hospitality Ministers
How
might your hospitality--at home, workplace, church-- indicate
that you are making choices in your own personal
life that lead to eternal life?
Music Ministers
This
celebration is not about sorrow but about hope and fulfillment.
How can the music you sing communicate hope
in god’s
promise of salvation? How can your manner of relating to
the assembly communicate this hope?
Altar Ministers
How
might you simple service at the altar and in the sanctuary “lead
the many to justice” (first reading), that is, right
relationships?
Lectors
How
might your preparation with the Word enable you to proclaim
in such a way that the assembly (and you) comes
to deeper
belief in Jesus?
Eucharistic Ministers
You
distribute Communion to the body of Christ. How does the
way you minister to each person reflect the oneness
of the body--those here one earth, those in purgatory,
those
in heaven?

“HIS
HOUSE” Cleaners Saturday, November
8th Melody Pfister is organizing this
effort for Saturday, November 8th beginning at 8:30 in
the morning (although you can come
later!). The project will include washing and waxing all
wood surfaces, washing and cleaning under the pews and cleaning
all of the windows. This would be a great opportunity for
families to come together to work together for the glory
of God and for the good of our parish - so consider making
this a family event. Those coming are asked to bring the
following: buckets, bottle of Murphy’s Oil Soap, a
can of Pledge, towels and rags, Windex and paper towels.
We ask that you call Melody at 412-882-3293 so she can coordinate
what specific supplies you need to bring (so we don’t
have 50 window washers and 2 pew cleaners) Please come and
join us in cleaning “His House”!
