REFLECTIONS THROUGHOUT THE WEEK

Assembly & Faith-Sharing Groups
Jesus’ teaching on “level ground” is part of Luke’s message. What it signifies to me is. . .
Jesus’ Beatitudes describe a divine reversal. To share in Christ’s promise of blessedness I need to reverse in my life. . .
I have learned that the anguish or misery from riches, consolation, fullness, etc., is. . .

Hospitality Ministers
Jesus’ Beatitudes describe a divine reversal. My hospitality can effect this reversal when I. . .

Music Ministers
I experience Jesus coming to us in blessing in my music-making when. . .
I lead the assembly to blessedness in their music-making when. . .

Self-emptying service is like a Beatitude: it seems lowly and demeaning while it is announced as blessed because Jesus’ presence is found in the self-emptying. I experience this as true when. . .

Lectors
I can proclaim these readings because I know the difference between the two paths depicted in Jeremiah, the psalm and the Beatitudes. The way I would describe this is. . .

Eucharistic Ministers
Even when life is like a “year of drought” (first reading), Jesus’ presence--at Eucharist and in others--is blessing to me because. . .

Recall your wedding vows this week -- the good times and the bad, the sickness and the health. ‘I will love you and honor you all the days of my live.’ Make it true.”
