Our CCD year is now in session and we have catechists for all of our classes. Our catechists were commissioned last Sunday during the 9:00 AM Mass. Thank you so much to all who have volunteered to teach or to assist in the classes and for all those who encouraged them in coming forth. Our parish is grateful for all of these efforts in teaching the faith to our youth.

And speaking of coming forth, several individuals are responding and prayerfully considering Sister Jean Rene’s request for assistance with RCIA and RCIC. We all share in this ministry in so many different ways from those who invite and encourage others to become a part of the Church to those who sponsor individuals to those who assist in teaching to those who pray for all of those involved from home on the nights the group is meeting. When you put all of that together it is one POWERFUL ministry that we have together.

Next Saturday night is our 1/2 Way to St. Patrick’s Day Party with Cahal Dunne. It will be a delicious dinner with great entertainment and an awesome audience. Tickets are only $20 and are being sold after all masses today and through 4PM Monday at the rectory. There will not be any tickets available at the door. Get together with your friends and join us for a night of the Irish — be an honorary Irishman for a night and come wearin’ the green.

Also enclosed in the bulletin you will find the end of the fiscal year financial report. While we ended the year in the black the surplus is going quickly with a lower than anticipated profit on the festival and a 10% increase in the budget with new positions.
