Thank you to everyone who helped to make Catholic Schools Week a success. Special
thanks to Mrs. Angie Bobak who coordinated the Scholastic Book Fair which ran
all week and also to the Student Council for their involvement in many of the
activities held throughout the week. Also, special thanks to the PTG Activities
Committee for organizing the student bingo and teacher appreciation lunch.
FINANCIAL
AID FORMS FOR 2004-05 SCHOOL YEAR
Financial aid application forms for the Bishop’s
Education Fund and the Scholastic Opportunity Scholarship
Program for the 2004-05 school year are available in
the school office. Parents of students who will be enrolled
in Grades K-8 are strongly urged to apply for one or
both of these programs. The forms must be returned to
Private School Aid Service no later than March 15, 2004.
There is a non-refundable processing fee payable to Private
School Aid Service for $17.00 for one program, or $19.00
for both programs that must be sent with your completed
application form. Please contact Mrs. Pruss in the school
office if you would like to have the application form.
SARRIS
EASTER CANDY SALE
Attached to today’s Newsletter is the Sarris Easter
Candy order form and brochure. Please take a few minutes
to look over the brochure and contact family members,
friends, and neighbors to place their orders. Remember,
35% of moneys raised from this sale are applied to our
fundraising quota. Please help support Bishop McDowell
School.
ADVISORY
BOARD MEETING
There will be an Advisory Board meeting on Tuesday,
February 10th at 7:30 pm in St. Wendelin Parish Center.
SCHOOL
MASS
Students will be attending Mass on Wednesday, February
11th at 1:15 pm in St. Albert the Great Church.
MARKET
DAY ORDER PICKUP
Market Day orders are to be picked up on Wednesday,
February 11th from 6-7 pm.
EARLY
DISMISSAL
Students in Grades K-8 will be dismissed at 12:15
pm on Friday, February 13th. The teachers will
be attending
a faculty meeting. Afterschool care will be
available. Students utilizing the afterschool program
are
asked to bring their lunch.
NO
SCHOOL
In observance of President’s Day, school will not
be in session on Monday, February 16, 2004.
